Building a cluster to run VASP
Dear VASP users,
We are currently running VASP over AMD CPUS, and we plan to buy new hardware equipment (to be in service after the summer) for the next coming two years. Thus, we would like to know which hardware architecture would be the best to run future versions of VASP (mostly DFT and NEB calculations).
So my question is : is x86 CPUS still the best option or would it be more profitable to run future VASP versions on new architectures like GPU and/or Intel Xeon Phi ?
Best Regards,
Abdou

Hi,
We're sorry that we didn’t answer your question. This does not live up to the quality of support that we aim to provide. The team has since expanded. If we can still help with your problem, please ask again in a new post, linking to this one, and we will answer as quickly as possible.
Best wishes,
