parallel installation of vasp.4.6 on ubuntu

Hi all.............

I want to compile vasp in parallel on ubuntu 9.04. Plz tell me if I have to use mkl libraries for LAPACK and BLAS or download them and install them or simply use the libraries residing in vasp.4.lib.

the vasp.4.lib only provides a package of LAPACK routines, you will need at least a library packages that includes the BLAS functions in addition (either mkl, or Goto's BLAS,...), independently of whether you use the vasp.4.lib LAPACK or not
