VASP source modiffication for GPU's

#1 Post by tgakic » Thu Jan 26, 2012 10:05 am

Hi,

Is anyone looking to use some GPU's to speed up VASP calculations? Are there already available some modifications of the source? I am willing to try, but I don't know anything about cuda compilers.

VASP source modiffication for GPU's

Hi,

the question is: did you do a VASP calculation on your own?

E.g. memory requirement/core exceeds far the current GPU technologies. So even if you'll get it compiled, you'll probably fail for execution.

Cheers,
