forrtl: severe (153): allocatable array or pointer is not allocated

#1 Post by cpopa » Thu Sep 04, 2008 7:59 pm

Dear all,

I'm trying to install vasp on the following platform:
cpu: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz, 32 bit
compiler: Intel(R) Fortran Compiler for 32-bit applications, Version 9.1
libraries: GotoBLAS-1.26, fftw-3.1.2
Everything seems to go ok, then I put a test job, but I receive the following error message:
forrtl: severe (153): allocatable array or pointer is not allocated
Does anybody have experience with this? Thank you!

please check which vasp-release you use. 4.6.26 gave problems with Intel 8.1, which were fixed in the code (I have not tested the original
version of 4.6.26 with any newer compiler release of the Intel compiler)
please check if -Davoidalloc and/or -Duse_cray_ptr may help / have caused the problem
